Tutorial 4 : Rose Petals Melt and Pour Soap

Rose Petals Melt and Pour Soap

It is extremely easy to make rose petals melt and pour soap. Rose petals are known to contain anti-oxidants and are also said to be mind anti-depressant and mood enhancing agent. Adding rose petals to soap gives the soap a luxurious look besides making the skin glow with its wonderful properties.

To make Rose Petals Melt and Pour Soap, you will need the following ingredients

1. Ultra White Melt and Pour Soap Base
2. Loaf Mold
3. Crinkle Cutter
4. Rose Fragrance
5. Rose Petals
6. Rubbing Alcohol
7. Microwave (or double boiler)
8. Stirrer

Steps

1. Melt 1 kg of ultra white melt and pour soap base and add 20 gm of rose fragrance to it. Stir it.
2. Add a few rose petals (approx 10) to it and stir.
2. Pour the mixture into the loaf mold.
3. As soon as you pour the mixture, sprinkle rose petals over it. Do it quickly as we don't want the soap base to cool down or form a layer on top.
4. After the soap has cooled down completely, turn the mold over and pop it out. You can cut the soap in any shape or size you want. We used a crinkle cutter to the cut the soap bar.

Your Rose Petals Soap is Ready !!!

Tip : Make these soaps as fresh as possible because rose petals might go brown in soap (eventually).

Tutorial 3 : Lavender Buds Melt and Pour Soap

Lavender Buds Melt and Pour Soap

To make Lavender Buds melt and pour soap, you will need the following ingredients

  1. Transparent Melt and Pour Soap Base
  2. Ultra White Melt and Pour Soap Base
  3. Loaf Mold
  4. Crinkle Cutter
  5. Violet Color
  6. Lavender Fragrance or Lavender Essential Oil
  7. Lavender Buds
  8. Rubbing Alcohol
  9. Microwave (or double boiler)
  10. Stirrer

Steps

  1. Melt about 250 gm of ultra white soap base. Add 2.5 ml of lavender fragrance to it and pour it into the loaf mold. Spray the top of the layer with rubbing alcohol to eliminate any air bubbles present.
  2. For the second layer, melt about 250 gm of transparent soap base. Add violet color and 2.5 ml of lavender fragrance to it. Spray the first layer with rubbing alcohol to make sure that the second layer adheres to it. Pour the second layer and spray the top of the layer with rubbing alcohol to eliminate any air bubbles present.To know how to do layering with melt and pour soap bases, check out our video on layered melt and pour soap here.

  3.  For the third layer, melt about 250 gm of white soap base. Add 2.5 ml of lavender fragrance        to it. Pour the third layer and spray it with rubbing alcohol to remove any air bubbles                  present. Now quickly add the lavender buds on the top of the layer.

 

 4. For the final layer, melt 175 gm of transparent soap base. Add 1.75 ml of lavender fragrance       to it. Again spray the third layer for the two layers to adhere and pour the fourth layer. Spray     it with rubbing alcohol to remove any air bubbles present. Let it cool completely before taking       the soap out of the mold.
5. After the soap has cooled down completely, turn the mold over and pop it out. You can cut        the soap in any shape or size you want. We use a crinkle cutter to cut the soap bar.
   Your wonderful lavender soap bar is ready!!!

TIP : Make these soaps as fresh as possible because lavender buds do go brown in soap (eventually).
