Steps
- Melt about 250 gm of ultra white soap base. Add 2.5 ml of lavender fragrance to it and pour it into the loaf mold. Spray the top of the layer with rubbing alcohol to eliminate any air bubbles present.
- For the second layer, melt about 250 gm of transparent soap base. Add violet color and 2.5 ml of lavender fragrance to it. Spray the first layer with rubbing alcohol to make sure that the second layer adheres to it. Pour the second layer and spray the top of the layer with rubbing alcohol to eliminate any air bubbles present. To know how to do layering with melt and pour soap bases, check out our video on layered melt and pour soap here.
3. For the third layer, melt about 250 gm of white soap base. Add 2.5 ml of lavender fragrance to it. Pour the third layer and spray it with rubbing alcohol to remove any air bubbles present. Now quickly add the lavender buds on the top of the layer.
4. For the final layer, melt 175 gm of transparent soap base. Add 1.75 ml of lavender fragrance to it. Again spray the third layer for the two layers to adhere and pour the fourth layer. Spray it with rubbing alcohol to remove any air bubbles present. Let it cool completely before taking the soap out of the mold.
5. After the soap has cooled down completely, turn the mold over and pop it out. You can cut the soap in any shape or size you want. We use a crinkle cutter to cut the soap bar.
Your wonderful lavender soap bar is ready!!!
TIP : Make these soaps as fresh as possible because lavender buds do go brown in soap (eventually).
